ETL Developer

Title: ETL Developer

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter IBM DataStage Microsoft SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Talend or Apache NiFi.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and experience in designing efficient data models for ETL processes.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data in relational databases such as Oracle SQL Server MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience in transforming data from source systems to target systems using various techniques such as filtering aggregation joining and data cleansing.
• Ability to optimize ETL processes for performance scalability and efficiency including tuning SQL queries optimizing data flows and implementing parallel processing.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts such as star schema snowflake schema and dimensional modeling.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Perl or shell scripting for automating ETL processes and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with version control systems like Git for managing ETL code and configurations.
• Knowledge of data quality principles and experience in implementing data quality checks and validations within ETL processes.
• Ability to design robust error handling mechanisms and logging strategies to track ETL job execution and monitor data quality.
• Capability to create and maintain technical documentation including ETL process diagrams data mappings and system configurations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams including data analysts business users and IT stakeholders.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends technologies and best practices in ETL development through selflearning training and professional development opportunities.
