Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer (Hybrid)

Background/Need

The Quantum information and Integrated Nanosystems Group conducts quantum information science research from a shared foundation of innovative control signal design outstanding fabrication tools and wellequipped measurement infrastructure. The group has a broad range of experimental and prototyping activities. The groups quantum information science activities include development of superconducting and trappedion qubits and quantum sensing with NVcenters in diamond.

One of the Groups application focuses for quantum sensing is that of magnetic field measurement. Here our Groups highly sensitive novel quantum magnetometers target improvement in the imaging of microelectronic structures as well as platform navigation. To realize the benefit of quantum sensing in such applications additional maturation of existing research quality software and hardware is needed to reach a level sufficient for maintainable field use via a technology transition partner. To this end the positions activities will include embedded systems redesign for modularization robustness operability and maintainability as well as performing integration and test.

Key responsibilities:

Software modularization
Continuous integration (build/test) and continuous delivery
Unit and integration test development
Embedded realtime system deployment test and debug
Documentation (i.e. Developer User and Quick Start Guides)
