Nexus Semiconductor Recruitment is partnering with a leading power electronics company to find a visionary Director of Module Engineering.
In this role you will lead a team of engineers in developing nextgeneration power module technology based on a groundbreaking lowloss bidirectional power semiconductor architecture. You will play a pivotal role in commercializing this disruptive technology driving product design optimization manufacturing and reliability efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with device process and product engineers to design and develop highperformance power modules that meet stringent electrical mechanical and cost requirements.
- Lead projects from concept to production leveraging simulation tools to ensure modules meet performance targets.
- Partner with manufacturing partners to implement designs optimize packaging processes and verify performance.
- Develop comprehensive test and reliability methodologies to ensure modules meet functional objectives and industry standards.
- Interface with customers for product evaluation failure analysis and recommend improvements across device process and product development.
- Champion module designs taking ownership and leading technical execution.
- Actively participate in defining nearterm and longterm technology and product roadmaps prioritizing development activities.
Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Solid State Physics (or equivalent experience for technicians with significant handson experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in power semiconductor technology and product development.
- Deep understanding of power semiconductor topologies including MOSFETs IGBTs and BJTs.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks® AutoCAD® etc.) and simulation software (COMSOL Multiphysics® Ansys® etc.).
- Knowledge of power module reliability failure modes and industrystandard assembly/packaging processes.
- Familiarity with common packaging materials and electronics packaging test equipment.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) 8D problemsolving and data analysis.
- Strong leadership teamwork and communication skills.
