My client is expanding and seeks a Director of Lab Operations to collaborate with leadership team and oversee a total department of 50 staff.

Director of Lab Operations

This position will offer YOU the opportunity to make an impact on oncology research.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Direct managers and teams to excel in their operations ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  2. Establish and apply metrics to evaluate and enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Create and implement policies that improve operations and ensure industry compliance.
  4. Enhance efficiency and process effectiveness through collaboration with IT business development and project leadership.
  5. Manage and optimize budgets to achieve financial objectives.
  6. Drive policy improvements to boost client experience and satisfaction.
  7. Maintain essential accreditations and certifications including CLIA AAALAC and IACUC.

Essential qualifications:

  • Proven results managing complex projects and high performing teams
  • A strong background in preclinical research including translation projects
  • Ability to handle multiple internal and external priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate clearly with all stakeholders

Essential Experience:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in laboratory operations.
  • Outstanding managerial organizational and leadership abilities with a proven track record of guiding teams to success.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry regulations rules and guidelines.

Additional points:

  • This is role is onsite in San Antonio.
  • Base bonuses relocation is included in the compensation package.
