Lithe is looking to put together a team of skilled and motivated Semiconductor Digital Design Engineer with 3-5 years of industry experience in RTL (Register Transfer Level) design to join our team at our Sicily-based location. As a Digital Design Engineer, you will contribute to the development of advanced digital integrated circuits, playing a vital role in shaping the future of microelectronics. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help drive innovation and excellence in our cutting-edge designs.
- Collaborate with system architects, verification engineers, and other design teams to understand design requirements and specifications.
- Translate high-level design concepts into RTL implementations using industry-standard hardware description languages (such as Verilog or VHDL).
- Design and optimize digital logic blocks, modules, and subsystems to meet performance, power, and area requirements.
- Perform RTL linting, static timing analysis, and other relevant design checks to ensure design quality and adherence to design guidelines.
- Collaborate with the verification team to develop and execute test plans, ensuring functional correctness and performance of the RTL designs.
- Participate in architectural discussions and design reviews to provide insights and recommendations for improving design efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest semiconductor design trends, methodologies, and tools to continuously enhance your expertise and contribute to the advancement of the team.
Requirements

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4 years) in digital design, with a focus on RTL design for complex semiconductor products.
- Proficiency in hardware description languages, such as Verilog or VHDL.
- Solid understanding of digital design concepts, microarchitecture, and design principles.
- Experience with RTL linting tools, static timing analysis, and other design verification methodologies.
- Experience of such tools as Mentor Graphics, Cadence suite, and/or Synopsys (see below)
- Familiarity with EDA tools and design flows for synthesis and implementation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas effectively.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required; proficiency in Italian is a plus.
- Experience with industry-standard semiconductor tools and technologies is advantageous.

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design, with a proven track record in CMOS and PLL design. Proficiency in industry-standard design tools and methodologies, including schematic capture, simulation, layout, and verification. Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, analog design principles, and circuit simulation techniques. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for design automation is a plus. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
