Work Schedule:Varies to meet the needs of the position

Salary Range:$70,000 - $85,000 based on experience

Summary:

The Development Director Assists in the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors within the general parameters of overall Advancement giving policies and plans. Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement and working with development leadership and the Dean for Gallogly College of Engineering, will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of major gift donors and assisting management of a comprehensive major gift program in support of the College.Job Requirements



Required Education:




  • Bachelor Degreeor equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:

  • 18-48 months Fundraising, Sales, gift planning, PR and/or Marketing



Skills:




  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff

  • Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines

  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to solicit gifts in person

  • Must be able to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations

  • Able to effectively evaluate projects/programs and produce comprehensive reports



Certifications:




  • Valid driver's license to attend meetings



Advertised Physical Requirements:




  • Communicate effectively, see including color, depth perception and clarity, use of repetitive motions, able to travel (including short overnights)



Departmental Preferences:




  • including color, depth perception and clarity

  • Financial or accounting experience to include analysis, auditing and budgeting






Supervision:




  • No Supervisory Duties
