Job Description: App Dev Banner Redistributions

    1. We are looking for an individual to backfill our developers and work on help tickets. The following are specific skills we are looking for:
  1. Database
    1. Must be able to create PL SQL packages, procedures, functions, views, and tables in an Oracle database environment 19c or greater.
    2. Must have 5 to 7 years of programming experience associated with Banner HR/PAYROLL/FINANCE modules of Ellucian Banner.
      1. Must have understand how EPAF's in the Banner HR Self Service environment work, the table structure underneath the module, and administrative forms associated with approvals.
      2. Must have a good understanding of the Banner Time Entry and Leave Report modules, the table structure underneath them, and how the approval process works with those modules.
      3. Must understand and have experience in how Banner HR data interfaces to Finance.
      4. Must understand and have experience in how the PAYROLL and POSNCTL schemas interact with each other.
      5. Must understand tables and processes associated with Employment, Benefits, Deductions and Payroll processing.
      6. Must have a good understanding of the flow of the Finance Claims and Check processes.
    3. Must understand how to find and utilize Banner delivered API's that interact with the back-end tables.

  1. Scripting
    1. Must understand BASH scripting

  1. Web Development
    1. Must have 3 5 years' experience in web application development using PHP.
    2. Must have knowledge and understanding of MVC architecture.
    3. Must have experience in creating mock-ups.
    4. Must have experience coding for ADA accessibility standards (WICA II, or Section 508).

  1. Communication
    1. Requires good written and verbal communication skills (must speak and write English fluently and be understood)

  1. Training
    1. Training in our environment will be provided. This consists of
      1. how our environment is configured,
      2. how we create Banner jobs,
      3. how we create code promotions,
      4. how we create Eprint definitions,
      5. How we conduct Web development,
      6. how to utilize our Help ticketing system.
    2. Must be able to complete basic training in 3-4 weeks
  2. General
    1. Must be able to read/write project/technical requirements.
    2. Must be able to create process flowcharts.
    3. Must be able to create design diagrams.
    4. Must have a database development IDE capable of working with Oracle version 19c or greater
    5. Must complete OSU A&M system HIPAA and FERPA training at our Institution before having database access to our data.
