Position: Data Security Engineer

In this role you will:
- Ensure the secure handling of business and client data
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that information is gathered and managed securely
- Report to the Head of Security Engineering providing regular updates on data security initiatives and challenges faced
- Analyze SQL statements identify and help resolve pot. Decompile SQL statements for performance optimization
- Implement and uphold cloud data security technologies and best practices.
- Operate independently demonstrating proactive problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts through strong written and verbal skills.
Requirements
Candidates must have:
- 10 years experience in in database activity monitoring
- Familiar with Data Activity Monitoring tools such as Imperva Secure Sphere Data Sun Rise
- 10 years of experience working on a security team with a focus on data security
- 7 years experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Strong familiarity with cloud data security technologies and cloud security best practices
- 7 years of experience with Oracle SQL
- Proficiency in decompiling SQL statements for performance optimization
- 3 years experience with Amazon Linux
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field preferred
