Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Manager to lead the development of innovative data science applications. Our vision is to build a world-class team dedicated to developing our Marketing platforms. As a Data Science Senior Manager, you'll be part of a team of data scientists who work together to build innovative data products in an agile, highly collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to hire the technical resources, create and own the vision for the next few years, and make applications of new technologies for AI & ML a reality.

You will:


Provide leadership to a team of 3+ data scientists and analysts within our Marketing Analytics USA.

Help building world-class products. Shape the vision and strategic roadmap of Marketing Advanced Analytics within the company.

Steer project management activities across the data team with a results-focused approach to prioritization, while maintaining a balance of velocity and quality.

Support hiring of Data Science & Analytics team.

Provide coaching and team member development, and get actively involved in supporting team members in the technical development of models and analysis

Translate business needs into clearly scoped data science projects, and take a hands-on approach to steer solution design and implementation

At a minimum, you have:


Degree (Ph.D., MSc, BSc) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Computer Science, or Engineering

5+ years proven track recordbuilding Machine Learning / Statistical Models within e-commerce digital businesses.

2+ years of experience managing and developing a team of data scientists and data analysts.

Advanced expertise in Python for large scale data analysis

Proficient using SQL

Deep understanding of advanced statistical concepts (e.g. Bayesian statistics; multilevel and generalized linear models; bootstrapping; cluster analysis). Experience using PyMC3 is a plus.Experience with production-ready systems for Machine Learning and experimental design

Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum & Kanban and proficiency in using project management tools. Jira preferred.
