Job Title: WiFi/CPE Validation Engineer
Location: CA
Contract on C2C

Job Description:
Resource will provide CPE (WiFi Router and Extender) validation engineering Services including but not limited to:
Perform tasks pertaining to CPE validation & automation
Handson and create new test cases for chamber based WiFi testing like Candela Octoscope and/or Veriwave
Write TR069 related scripts
Customize scripts per vendor including ports wifi radios SSID packets etc.
Generate TPut KPI and other performance metrics for the devices being teste
Write shell scripts to validate CPE (i.e. TR069 routers) on the network Scope / Timeline / Sample tasklist
The candidate will work with professional lab test equipment (e.g. Candela Octoscope and/or Veriwave WiFi equipment spectrum analyzers network analyzers).
Write detailed test plans test cases methodically document the test steps and results
The candidate will primarily work on testing and debugging WiFi mesh networking equipment including router (Residential Gateway) and mesh extenders in a lab setting as well as in reallife environments.
The candidate will validate WiFi connectivity: Test peak and average throughput maximum connectivity airtime fairness latency ratevsrange mesh roaming MUMIMO
performance spatial consistency collect RSSI and SINR from routers and WiFi clients to measure coverage.
The candidate will work with multiple vendor equipment: Validation qualification vendor comparison.
The candidate will write TR069 related shell scripts to control WiFi devices orchestrate test scenarios and collect KPIs. Scripts need to be modified to handle differences between vendors (e.g. number ethernet ports wifi radios and supported number of SSIDs).

Job Description & Requirements:
Prior experience with WiFi performance testing is required. Familiarity with Octoscope Candela or Veriwave test equipment is a MUST.
Good knowledge of RF concepts is required: splitters attenuators antennas RF shielded boxes.
Familiarity with lab test equipment is required: Spectrum analyzers network analyzers oscilloscopes.
Good knowledge of TCPIP and L2 networking / switches wireshark debugging tools is required. Familiarity with L3networking / routers is a plus.
Good knowledge of device management protocols like TR069.
Ability to write shell scripts to validate CPE (i.e. TR069 routers) on the network is required.
