- Performs the fieldwork necessary to layout proposed facilities, retrace deeds and recorded surveys as part of boundary surveys, maps areas for future design and establish ground control networks using GPS and conventional survey equipment.
- Organizes, plans, directs and managers the Instrument Operator’s daily functions.
- Completes accurate mathematical calculations manually, based on construction plans and other survey documents, using a calculator, handheld data collector, geomatic software or related CAD program.
- Reads, examines and understands construction plans, drawings, maps, plats, exhibits, images, land descriptions, field notes and field data.
- Prepares monument records, researches county records and retrieves recorded documents.
