Job Description
- Review all vessel fixtures ( pre & post fixtures ) with view to get competitive freight & mitigate operational risk.
- Review all Charter party agreements and provide comments prior to fixing the vessel. Work closely with ship brokers and the Tricon commercial team to ensure that the charter party is optimal for the Company.
- Look at all operational matters relating to the vessel which includes cleanliness / acceptability port performance to mitigate demurrage quality timing & other risk.
- Coordinate with brokers / owners to ensure competitive & timely freight.
- Needs to understand the Charter Party Agreement and track the vessel till the time it reaches the destination.
In addition the ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Experience in shipping industry preferred
Familiarity with business intelligence tools and ERP systems (JD Edwards and Oracle BI Enterprise Edition a plus)
Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Charter Party.
