Outpatient Coder Responsibilities:
Outpatient Coder Requirements:
- Abstract codes from medical documentation
- Identify and report correct codes from medical records
- Assign correct diagnosis and procedure codes
- Ensure all charges are accurately billed into the system
Outpatient Coder Requirements:
- GED or high school diploma required; college degree preferred
- Active COC or CPC Certification required
- 2 years of experience in medical coding
- Recent Epic Software experience required
