- Rationalize the supplier base through evaluation of information and benchmarking of suppliers to create local commodity strategies and control the supplier base
- Liaise with Commodity Managers to determine and implement Alstom Transport Sourcing strategy.
- Lead purchasing activities for a family of products or services of suppliers on a regional/ local level in order to obtain competitive advantage for the local business units. Set up and utilize of Group contracts.
- Assess sourcing possibilities on regional level across the business lines and recommend synergies to local procurement teams.
- Facilitate implementation of overall commodity strategy within the business lines in order to benefit from potential synergies at regional level.
- Support the local business procurement teams wherever needed to set up supplier contracts and resolve any issues that need to be escalated.
- Manage relationship with global/local suppliers and liaise with the Supplier Quality Manager in order to constantly seek ways to improve overall supplier performance levels.
- Develop and maintain Purchase Performance reports using QCD KPI’s SAP data, in order to control and analyze activity in the business.
