Business Systems Consultant

We are currently looking for a Business Systems Consultant for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

What is in it for you:

Hourly salary of $53 to $64 based on experience.
6month contract.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Work schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

General Project Support tasks include (but are not limited to):

Write user stories;
Refine user stories;
Participate in Spike tickets for analysis and coordinate with other team members for analysis;
Support the coordination of work with other teams;
Perform additional processrelated tasks (e.g. support the intake form define done etc.);
Collaborate with the team to review and understand detailed solution design approaches and assess if they meet the goals of the user story;
Provide bug support;
Create and update BDM (Business Data Model) configurations loaded to our ETL (Extract Transform Load); note that this differs from the standard data mapping of FROM TO that most Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) produce.

Operations Support tasks include (but are not limited to):
Coordinate meetings and query data / review BDM logic to find root causes for quarterend investigations;
Provide support for BAT (Business Application Team) tickets;
Assist the Ops board with general inquiries user audits etc;
Gather and review lists of QE Prod defects for inclusion in future enhancement work / analyze tickets for trends;
Support the creation of Opsrelated documentation (e.g. address stability issues with triggers to manage manually during 2024 Q1 initiate the creation of a Confluence page etc.).

What you will need to succeed:

13 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in the Financial Industry preferred.
Familiarity with JAMA requirement management tool.
Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA Cloud.
Strong technical acumen.
Business analysis skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to take initiative.
Experience in data mapping.
Proficiency in Jira Confluence Excel and Microsoft Teams.
Diplomatic resilient versatile and able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
