About the job
Summary:
Looking for BI developer to work on SSAS and Power BI. It requires extensive experience in Data modeling, SQL and Knowledge of working on diverse BI tools.
Accountabilities & Key Roles :
- Analyzing, validating and transforming data with the use of complex SQL queries (Impala, Microsoft SQL).
- Collaborating with business units to gather requirements and transforming them into technical solutions.
- Assisting business units with the creation and validation of reports through PowerBl.
- Automating manual business procedures and calculations through queries and models.
- Governing and ensuring the availability of data through automated refresh and monitoring procedure.
- Maintaining environment and performance through monitoring, use of best practices and applying needed controls in collaboration with needed team.
- Conducting meetings with several units for the purpose of alignment and documentation.
- Work with dynamic cross functional teams including business, Solution architects & Data engineers.

Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Masters in Programming preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum 4-5 years of Experience in Development in data analysis software and tools such as R, Python & SSAS.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Proficient in SQL for extracting and analyzing data from various sources.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large complex data sets.
- Knowledge of Python will be highly desirable.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred.

Competencies:
- Solid programming skills in SQL.
- Creating and maintaining relational data models through Microsoft SSAS, as well as constructing calculated items using DAX.
- Expertise of working on BI tools. Exposure to big data components HDFS, HIVE, Impala is essential.
