Midlevel Associate M&A and Private Equity

Location: Chicago IL

A leading Am Law 200 firm is looking to hire a midlevel associate to join its Corporate Practice team.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 36 of experience in M&A and private equity transactions.
  
• Proven experience representing financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers across various transactions including leveraged buyouts sellside deals growth equity investments minority investments and related strategic initiatives.
  
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for acquisition/disposition agreements and closing documents with the ability to manage transactions to completion.
  
• A wellrounded background with experience in capital formation partnerships and finance (considered a plus).
  

Admission to the Illinois Bar is a mandatory requirement for all applicants.Total compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package in addition to a discretionary performance bonus.

Requirements

1. Juris Doctor certification certification
   
2. Licensed to practice law in Illinois
   
3. Minimum 35 years of experience in M&A and private equity transactions
   
4. Must have: JD Year 2017 to 2021
   
5. Experience in M&A AND Private Equity Transactions as the main practice area.
   
6. Must have experience working in large firm setting
