- Job Title: Application TesterCloud Migration (Applications Development Analyst)
- Location: Tallahassee Florida (onsite)
- Duration: 7/1/2024 thru 6/30/2026
Rate: $60.00 W2 CHP
Start Date: May 2024
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
Testing Work
o Collaborate with development teams to understand the scope of updates.
o Define a comprehensive testing strategy based on the specific changes made to the
applications.
o Document test cases test results and any deviations from expected behavior.
o Identify test scenarios test data and success criteria.
o Perform integration testing to ensure interaction between different components of the
application. Test broader system functionality including infrastructure components.
o Perform functional testing through validation of endtoend functionality from a users
perspective. Ensure that the application behaves as expected under various scenarios
including negative testing.
o Execute testing based on the defined test scenarios. Report defects and issues promptly
including steps to reproduce. Collaborate with developers to address identified issues.
o Rerun test cases to ensure that no new defects were introduced during updates. Validate
backward compatibility with existing features.
o Assess application responsiveness identify bottlenecks and performance issues.
o Validate security controls authentication mechanisms and authorization rules. Identify
vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
o Verify that the updated applications work seamlessly across different browsers.
o Provide clear instructions for reproducing defects.
o Develop detailed test reports summarizing test execution defects found and overall
application quality. Provide recommendations for improvements.
Deliverable(s)
Design and code both new development and enhancements to .NET applications. Develop system documentation and diagrams as needed. Work with users and other staff personnel to design and test the solutions. Performs other related duties as required.
- Scope of Work
Required consultant experience provided by Contractor shall include:
10 years of experience programming in developing and utilizing test scripts to test web applications.
5 years of experience in utilizing automated testing tools/platforms to test applications.
Experience in conducting application testing without utilizing automated testing.
Experience with Kanban/Scrum/Agile.
Experience working collaboratively with business analysts and developers.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience with building test cases and running tests using Tricentis Tosca Worksoft and/or Microfocus ALM.
Experience with application development security tools such as WebInspect.
Experience in standing up a new automated testing solution/platform.
Ability to plan organize and document IT solutions.
Ability to plan organize and coordinate IT work assignments.
Experience testing APIs.
Experience working in a projectoriented environment.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Detailoriented ability to switch tasks ability to selfdirect and prioritize tasks.
Ability to research and investigate problems to developing viable solutions and report findings /
recommendations clearly and effectively.
Experience developing functional and technical specifications design flow and system blueprints.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
Education/Certifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems (MIS) Software Engineering
or another related field.
