About the Role

The Project Officer - Strategic Projects supports the planning coordination and delivery of Ruahs strategic initiatives. Working closely with one or more Project Managers the role ensures that projects are well-organised and documented. Further the Project Officer will handle the coordination scheduling reporting and administrative work that underpins effective project delivery.

The successful candidate will be employed on a maximum term contract to December 2027 focused on project management with working arrangements(e.g. full time or part time) to be confirmed with successful applicant.

What were looking for

The successful applicant will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in providing project and administrative support to projects with varying levels of complexity.
• Knowledge of project lifecycles i.e. financial budgeting and forecasting project planning managing milestones and benchmarks.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders including lived experience experts operational teams senior leadership and sector partners.
• Experience providing secretariat support including agenda preparation minute-taking and meeting coordination.
• Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to conduct research and prepare concise reports.
• Excellent computer and IT skills particularly in the Microsoft office suite program including MS Excel.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.

The following criteria are considered desirable:

• Formal training or certification in project management methodologies (e.g. Prince 2 Agile).
• Experience or education in any of the following: Health Government Capital Projects Not For Profit Community Services.
