Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is an academic research-support centre embracing multi-omics and big data biomedical research under the LKS Faculty of Medicine. The Role
- Strategic Team Expansion: Build and lead multidisciplinary Bioinformatics and IT teams focusing on workforce planning and mentoring to resolve analysis bottlenecks in the era of massive data.
- Technical Vision & AI Innovation: Define the roadmap for core services and drive AI adoption to automate workflows ensuring platform scalability for high-volume biomedical research.
- Data Pipeline Excellence: Oversee the development and optimization of high-performance multi-omics pipelines to accelerate complex data-driven discovery and large-scale data processing.
- Infrastructure & Resilience: Manage secure IT ecosystemsincluding HPC cloud and data centerswhile directing policies for cybersecurity data governance and disaster recovery.
- Advisory & Project Leadership: Serve as a lead technical expert for major projects providing strategic counsel to research scientists clinicians and executive leadership.
- Compliance & Clinical Support: Ensure service continuity and support clinical readiness or regulatory standards as required for institutional operations.
Qualifications and Qualities
- Education: Masters in Bioinformatics Computer Sciences Biomedical Sciences or a related field.
- Work Experience: 20 years of relevant full-time work experience; research support in academic setting is highly desirable.
- Expertise: NGS/multi-omics pipeline development and workflow automation tailored to eliminating analytical delays in research.
- Leadership: Proven track record in building technical teams and managing large-scale biomedical research analysis platforms.
- Clinical Standards: Prior experience with accreditation or clinical validation protocols is highly desirable.
- Business Acumen: Skilled in budgeting procurement and stakeholder management.
- Attributes: A proactive leader dedicated to scaling analytical capacity and embracing emerging technologies.
