ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional & Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute a comprehensive APAC & China Professional Education strategy aligned with global education priorities and regional business objectives.
- Direct execution of regional education strategies and develop sub-functional operational plans that drive measurable impact on adoption utilization and commercial performance.
- Serve as the APAC strategic lead for KOL engagement and faculty development building sustainable partnerships with regional thought leaders and academic societies.
- Partner closely with APAC Marketing and Commercial Leadership to align education initiatives with portfolio strategy launch readiness and lifecycle management priorities.
- Collaborate with US EMEA and LATAM Professional Education leaders to leverage shared capabilities scale best practices and enable cross-regional education strategies.
- Lead and influence within a complex matrix organization providing leadership across managers senior professionals and cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority where applicable.
- Apply advanced leadership judgment to influence senior functional leadership drive adoption of new education models and elevate standards across regions.
- Identify and intervene in critical business issues where education strategy KOL engagement or capability gaps may impact regional or global performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration innovation inclusion and compliance while developing regional education capabilities and leadership bench strength.
Surgeon & Healthcare Professional Education
- Define the strategic framework standards and priorities for franchise-specific professional education across APAC & China aligned to global strategy and regional business objectives.
- Enable and guide country teams in the design and execution of KOL-led education programs ensuring alignment to curriculum standards clinical evidence and portfolio priorities.
- Establish governance for appropriate clinical application and on-label use of products reinforcing evidence-based decision-making across education initiatives.
- Oversee development of the annual APAC professional education roadmap ensuring country-level plans align with regional priorities lifecycle needs and commercial objectives.
- Set expectations and quality standards for execution across all education formats (labs congresses digital and hybrid) ensuring consistent and high-quality customer experiences.
- Drive innovation and scalability in education delivery by defining regional approaches to digital simulation-based and experiential learning models.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through defined metrics (e.g. adoption utilization reach) enabling continuous optimization and improved return on investment.
KOL & HCP Engagement and Contracting
- Define and govern the regional KOL and faculty engagement strategy enabling country teams to identify develop and activate high-impact faculty aligned to portfolio and market priorities.
- Establish frameworks and standards for HCP/KOL engagement and contracting across education programs advisory boards and sponsored activities.
- Oversee country execution of KOL engagement and contracting to ensure alignment with strategic priorities appropriate utilization and consistent application of governance standards.
- Partner with Medical Affairs Legal and Compliance to define engagement models contracting principles and evolving regulatory expectations.
- Implement governance and performance management processes to assess KOL engagement effectiveness optimize faculty utilization and enhance overall experience.
- Guide internal stakeholders and country teams on compliant engagement practices and best-in-class faculty management approaches.
Medical & Scientific Expertise
- Partner with Medical Affairs to ensure alignment between professional education strategies clinical evidence scientific messaging and evolving standards of care across regions.
- Guide integration of clinical data and evolving standards of care into education frameworks and program design.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of advisory boards and scientific engagement initiatives to inform education strategy product adoption and future evidence needs.
Budget
- Own and manage the APAC professional education budget aligning investment decisions with strategic priorities portfolio needs and expected business impact.
- Allocate resources across programs markets and initiatives to maximize return on investment adoption and scalability.
- Establish financial discipline and tracking mechanisms to ensure effective utilization of resources and alignment with annual operating plans.

- Under direct supervision of the VP Market Access & Professional Education
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
- Provides leadership across regional professional education activities including indirect management of cross-functional teams vendors agencies and faculty networks.
- May directly or indirectly lead regional education resources as the organization evolves.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Life Sciences Business or related field required advanced degree preferred.
- 1215 years of experience in professional education medical education commercial strategy or related leadership roles within medical device or healthcare industry.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English required; additional proficiency in one or more Asia Pacific languages (e.g. Mandarin Chinese Korean Japanese) preferred to support effective engagement across regional markets.
- Demonstrated experience leading regional or global education strategies and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Strong knowledge of wound reconstruction nerve and tendon repair and/or regenerative technologies; operating room experience highly preferred.
- Proven ability to translate clinical and scientific concepts into impactful education strategies that drive adoption and commercial performance.
- Experience engaging with KOLs academic societies and external faculty at a regional or global level.
- Strong leadership stakeholder management and influencing skills including ability to operate effectively without direct authority.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- Experience managing budgets and aligning investments to strategic priorities.
- Proficiency in relevant systems (CRM HCP engagement platforms contracting tools).
- Willingness to travel 5070% across APAC.
