Shift: Night Shift Hours: 7:30 PM 8:00 AM Days/Week: 3 Nights Weekly Hours: 34.5

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments.
• Perform wound care dressing changes catheter insertions and IV starts.
• Monitor patient vital signs and identify/report adverse reactions promptly.
• Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as required.
• Interpret and record patient assessments and clinical measurements.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures medications and post-surgical care.
• Maintain accurate patient records charts and EMR documentation.
• Follow infection control policies nursing standards and patient safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Active New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in large acute care hospitals or post-acute care facilities.
