Pay Rate: $59.62/hour
SHIFT DETAILS:
Primary Shift: 7:00 PM7:30 AM MondayFriday
Night shift (3 days per week / 12 hours per shift)
Consistent schedule within contracted period
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PATIENT CARE & ASSESSMENT:
Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
Monitor record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
Assess patient needs and provide comprehensive emergency nursing care
Respond to acute and emergent patient situations
Provide compassionate care to patients and families in crisis
CARE COORDINATION:
Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists paramedics and other healthcare professionals
Ensure seamless communication between all care team members
Facilitate interdisciplinary approaches to emergency patient management
CLINICAL EXECUTION:
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Perform emergency procedures and interventions
Monitor vital signs and patient response to treatments
Document accurate and timely patient information in medical records
DISCHARGE PLANNING:
Assess and coordinate patients discharge planning needs
Communicate with members of the healthcare team regarding discharge requirements
Provide discharge education and instructions to patients and families
Ensure appropriate follow-up care arrangements
REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
Current RN license in Iowa
Contract/traveler nursing experience preferred
CERTIFICATIONS & CREDENTIALS:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
SKILLS:
Expertise in emergency nursing care
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in fast-paced high-stress environment
Strong patient advocacy and compassion
Proficiency with EHR and nursing documentation systems
