Job Summary

Liberal USD 480 is accepting applications for the position of MacArthur Elementary Assistant Principal. The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in providing professional leadership to organize- administer- supervise- and evaluate a creative and effective school culture. To accomplish these tasks- the Assistant Principal works closely with the community- staff- and administration of USD 480.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Eligible for a valid Kansas teaching license with a building leadershipendorsement.
Strong background in instructional leadership.
Excellentcommunication skills.
Expertise in collaboration withstaff members.
Ability to manage change effectively.
Record of building strong community- student- and staff relationships.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS:

Requirements may include prolonged sitting or standing physical exertion to manually move lift carry pull or push heavy objects or materials climbing stairs stooping bending and reaching; also includes travel.

EVALUATION:

Will be evaluated by the Principalin accordance with the Board of Educations policy.

Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated superior performance in previous leadership roles- particularly in the areas of leadership- communication- school climate- and building relationships.
