Position Summary
The Front Office Clerk serves as the first point of contact for students families staff and visitors. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a welcoming organized and efficient front office while supporting daily school operations and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist students parents staff and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
Answer and direct incoming phone calls emails and general inquiries
Manage student check-in and check-out procedures in accordance with school policies
Assist with attendance tracking and documentation
Maintain accurate student records while ensuring confidentiality
Receive sort and distribute mail packages and deliveries
Perform data entry filing and general clerical duties
Support onboarding paperwork and administrative processes as needed
Coordinate appointments meetings and front office scheduling
Maintain office supplies and request orders as needed
Ensure the front office area remains clean organized and presentable
Provide support to administrators teachers and staff as needed
Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive and structured school culture
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Previous experience in a school office front desk or administrative role (preferred)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) or similar systems
Experience with student information systems or HR systems (preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced school environment
Professional demeanor and positive attitude
Skills and Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with students families and staff
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
