We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with strong PLS-CADD experience to join a specialist engineering consultancy delivering complex power and energy infrastructure projects across Africa. This role is ideal for a technically driven professional with experience in transmission and distribution line design overhead line engineering and multidisciplinary project coordination.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning design and execution of high-voltage infrastructure projects working alongside experienced engineering professionals in a dynamic and solutions-focused environment.

This role is ideal for a technically driven professional with experience in transmission and distribution line design overhead line engineering and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and develop transmission and distribution line projects using PLS-CADD
- Perform route selection line profiling tower spotting and clearance analysis
- Conduct structural and civil design calculations for overhead line infrastructure
- Prepare technical drawings reports specifications and construction documentation
- Coordinate with electrical structural and project engineering teams
- Ensure designs comply with Eskom IEC and relevant international standards
- Assist with site inspections feasibility studies and project implementation support
- Liaise with clients contractors and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
- Support project delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction
Minimum Requirements
- BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering
- 3 years experience in transmission or distribution line engineering
- Proficient in PLS-CADD and related transmission line design tools
- Experience with overhead line design and utility infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of relevant design standards and engineering practices
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Advantageous
- Experience with PLS-POLE or PLS-TOWER
- Professional registration or candidacy with ECSA
- Exposure to renewable energy or utility-scale power projects
