Job Summary

Introduction:

Join our HR People eXperience and Engagement team to play a key role in shaping the employee journey at CERN supporting a diverse community of students graduates and staff while navigating a dynamic and evolving environment.

Functions:

  • Act as the main HR point of contact for graduate and student populations within your client department(s) providing expert advice and seamless support throughout their contract lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with HR colleagues to deliver an efficient responsive and user-friendly back-office service handling staff-related actions and queries across key HR processes such as performance management.
  • Contribute to an outstanding people experience at CERN by streamlining procedures and continuously improving HR processes and practices.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by contributing to reporting and proactively identifying trends or issues at both local and systemic levels.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders maintaining open dialogue to continuously enhance services and processes.
  • Deliver engaging presentations on HR topics to a variety of audiences both within and beyond the group.
  • Participate in and contribute to HR projects as required.

Qualifications :

Higher Administrative diploma or equivalent relevant experience in the field of HR Administration or a related field.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in HR in an international environment requiring multitasking and shifting priorities.
  • Experience in assessing HR situations independently evaluate options and suggest workable solutions escalating effectively when needed.

Technical competencies:

  • Employee relations.
  • Customer service.
  • Use of office software packages.

  • Communicating Effectively: expressing opinions ideas and suggestions with conviction and in a logical/structured manner; keeping to the point.
