Duties & Responsibilities
Our client a leading African banking group with a strong legacy and regional presence is looking to appoint an AVP: Finance Specialist Group Reporting within its Group Finance function.
This role forms part of the Reporting Management team responsible for delivering high-quality management reporting performance analysis and strategic insights to senior leadership including Exco Board and key committees.
You will play a key role in monthly quarterly and annual reporting cycles coordinating across business units and supporting critical decision-making processes through accurate financial analysis and reporting outputs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of monthly flash reports Exco reporting and Board/GACC submissions
- Assist in the coordination and consolidation of financial reporting across business units and functions
- Prepare and maintain reporting systems for monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
- Provide financial analysis and performance insights to support senior management decision-making
- Contribute to half-year and year-end financial reporting deliverables including results booklets
- Support planning processes including Outlook RAF and medium-term planning (MTP) cycles
- Assist with standardisation and enhancement of group reporting formats and processes
- Perform ad hoc analysis reporting and research for presentations to senior stakeholders
- Engage with business units as a Cluster Relationship Manager (CRM) to facilitate information flow
- Participate in change initiatives including system enhancements and process improvements
- Collaborate across Group Finance and build strong stakeholder relationships
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- B-degree in Accounting / Financial Management (minimum requirement)
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (preferred)
- Banking or financial services experience (advantageous)
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of financial markets and economics
