This person will provide day-to-day; leadership technical support and supervision in the achievement of productivity schedule attainment quality and Employee Health Safety programs in the Service Weld department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coach and support area of responsibility

  • Daily communication and coordination with teams other supervisors and departments.

  • Direct work assignments in accordance with the production schedule

  • Plans and organizes activities of the production/assembly line to meet production deadlines.

  • Monitor housekeeping (5 pillars) with emphasis on 5s.

  • Participate in VIP to maximize production efficiency improve technology and correct safety issues.

  • Ensure compliance to environmental productivity quality and health & safety standards.

  • Prepare department budget including material manpower equipment and outside procurement costs and operates within approved parameters.

  • Enforce policies and procedures and apply disciplinary action as needed Prepare and maintain production reports and records- taking corrective action when necessary

  • Coordinate departmental maintenance and engineering needs

  • Responsible for inventory analysis

  • Work directly with department scheduler

  • Order and purchase necessary equipment or materials for assembly or production.

  • Responsible for development preventative maintenance and hands on troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment

  • Owner of labor standards process changes equipment condition and related documentation

  • Communicate with supervisors from other departments to coordinate movement of service weld materials

  • Directs and guides technical team members in operations

  • Provides solutions to problems that adversely affect cost operator safety productivity and quality.

  • Oversees work cell development and material flow improvement.

  • Participate in PCI process

  • Process purchase requisitions and records as required

  • Maintain and continuously improve systems to catalogue tooling and track tooling usage

  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical engineering degree preferred or relevant experience

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

2 years of industry experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Outstanding leadership influence and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements in a team environment

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple operations High integrity
