About the role
If you are a commercially minded cloud finance professional who enjoys influencing decisions improving governance and turning complex spend data into practical action wed love to hear from you.
As a Senior FinOps Analyst you will lead Cenitexs cloud financial management and cost optimisation efforts helping the organisation make better more sustainable decisions about cloud investment and consumption. Working across finance technology and business teams you will provide trusted advice improve visibility of cloud expenditure and support value-for-money outcomes across AWS Azure and OCI environments.
This role is ideal for someone who can operate confidently in complex environments build strong cross-functional relationships and bring together financial insight commercial judgement and strategic thinking. You will act as a key link between finance and technology helping to strengthen governance improve transparency and embed mature FinOps practices that support whole-of-organisation outcomes.
What you will be working on
- Leading cloud financial management activities and identifying opportunities to optimise cloud spend and improve value realisation
- Providing authoritative financial and commercial advice to support cloud investment consumption and optimisation decisions
- Analysing trends risks and opportunities in cloud expenditure and translating them into clear actionable recommendations
- Facilitating governance activities including cost review discussions with stakeholders to strengthen accountability and oversight
- Partnering with business product and technology teams to influence cloud usage strategy and drive improved financial outcomes
- Contributing to continuous improvement in FinOps practices governance and organisational decision-making
Lets talk about you
You are someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in cloud cost management / FinOps including cloud pricing models consumption patterns and optimisation opportunities
- Strong experience using cloud financial management tools such as Cloudability VMware Aria or native cloud platform tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to explain complex financial and technical concepts clearly and influence at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to assess issues from multiple perspectives and develop commercially sound recommendations
- Well-developed commercial acumen including the ability to assess decisions through a return-on-investment lens
- Proven ability to lead change identify issues and implement practical improvements in complex environments
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance Business Accounting Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
Highly desirable: FinOps certification and cloud platform certifications such as AWS Azure or OCI.
