A well-established manufacturing operation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to take ownership of electrical mechanical and PLC maintenance across plant and site infrastructure. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Breakdown Support- Attend to electrical mechanical and PLC breakdowns on production machinery
- Execute preventative predictive and planned maintenance schedules
- Respond urgently to unplanned breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Perform routine machine shutdown and critical spares maintenance
- Support machine modifications upgrades and improvement initiatives
- Maintain forklifts generators compressors and building services
- Participate in building and electrical projects
- Conduct site maintenance including roller doors extraction units air-conditioning water works and general housekeeping
- Enforce SHEQ policies and procedures
- Ensure contractor and visitor safety compliance
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
- Support supervision staff conduct attendance and timekeeping
- Assist with training development and leave management
- Manage stock control and maintenance-related ordering
Education
- Trade Qualification as an Electrician
- NTC 3 minimum
- Forklift licence advantageous
Experience & Skills
- 57 years experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
- Exposure to PLC fault diagnosis
- Computer literacy (MS Office advantageous)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Willing to work shifts overtime and call outs
