We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join a growing interior design company. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence and building strong long-term client relationships across Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- As the Business Development Manager your primary focus will be to generate and develop new business opportunities for the company through a variety of strategic and proactive approaches including:
- Researching identifying and adding qualified prospects to the companys sales pipeline
- Developing and managing strategic partnerships to drive business growth
- Promoting the companys products and interior design services to potential clients
- Attending and hosting networking events including after-hours functions when required
- Building and maintaining relationships with key industry stakeholders such as Property Developers Asset Managers Leasing Agents Landlords Brokers and direct clients
- Cold canvassing targeted buildings and commercial areas to identify opportunities
- Conducting cold calls based on market intelligence including media reports such as mergers relocations or expansions
- Creating and maintaining a detailed client database including contact information property requirements and lease expiry tracking
- Supporting any additional tasks deemed appropriate by management
Personal Attributes:
- Proven experience in business development or sales ideally within interiors property design or related industries
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Confident in cold calling and proactive lead generation
- Highly organised with strong CRM/database management ability
- Self-motivated target-driven and entrepreneurial in approach
- Willingness to travel and attend after-hours networking events
