Design Engineer Underground Mining Equipment

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop components and systems for underground mining machinery
Improve equipment performance reliability and safety
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production maintenance and field service
Conduct engineering analysis simulations and design validation
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best engineering practices
Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
Minimum of 5 years experience in the design of underground mining machinery
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles materials and manufacturing processes
Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis tools
Experience within heavy equipment mining or related environments
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment
