Job Summary

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

For the 2026-2027 School Year

Substitute teachers are those who hold a bachelor degree (or higher) in education or meets Local Substitute qualifications through NDE.
Requires teaching or substitute certificate
Applicants who do NOT hold a degree in education however hasaquired a minimum of 60 college credit hours must apply for theCertified Teacher Local SubstituteCertificate through NDE at complete the on-line application for Substitute Teacher:
- Includeemail addressesfor a minimum of three references
- Upload a copy of yourtranscripts
- Upload a copy yourteaching certificate*
*Applicants that are hired will be required to provideofficialtranscripts and a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate to Human Resourcesprior to starting to work. Applicants must schedule an HR interview and attend Orientation before being placed in substitute pool
