EVENT GUIDE
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting with the execution of internal and external Special Events this includes being responsible for managing all the equipment for each Event and moving it prior to and after each Event. The primary duty is to act as ambassadors to Event Guests by welcoming them communicating Event flow information and providing overall park directions. The Event Guide must be comfortable interacting with people and be able to provide exemplary Guest Service.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as Park Ambassador during Internal Revenue and Youth related Events. Assists with various aspects of Special Events including arrivals/departures support Event check-in and distribution of materials (ponchos maps and credentials) hold event perimeters and escorting or directing Vehicles Charter Buses and Guests around the Resort.
- Assist with Crowd Control for Marquee and Production Events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Parades Nighttime Shows Productions Concerts and Grand Openings. Responsible for maintaining safety in large crowds including but not limited to set-up and tear down of large amounts of crowd control equipment (barricades rope and stanchions carts and signage) escorting guests and/or equipment parade handling and providing vocal or hand signals direction to large crowds. Assist various departments with operational assistance as needed.
- Practice 10/5 rule answers Day/Event Guest questions and offers general UO information while providing exemplary Guest Service. Provides Guests with assistance as needed. Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the Resort.
- Assist with building movement and clean-up of department equipment (i.e. barricades retractables and stanchions) around the Resort. Demonstrate safe equipment practices and maintain a clean and safe work environment by constantly monitoring the immediate area and/or surroundings.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Universal Orlando experience preferred but not necessary.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills the ability to think on your feet and also be able to demonstrate park knowledge (attraction locations and descriptions restroom locations)
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
RESORT EQUIPMENT
JOB SUMMARY:
The Resort Equipment Attendant manages daily delivery and recovery of operational equipment and manages the maintenance and upkeep of equipment storage facilities across the resort. Additionally the Resort Equipment Attendant supports the daily Admissions Operations rental product inventory program and supports the front of house Guest experience pertaining to rental products.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Familiar with the movement and storage of equipment/supplies to include but not limited to barricades stanchions carts barricade covers strollers wheelchairs strollers signage etc. Tracks all supplies around the resort including partner and interdepartmental requests. Navigate load and operate carts both electronic and manual through tight spaces and in Guest areas. Drive UO vehicles and golf carts hauling supplies and towing trailers and operate pallet jacks.
- Supports the Admissions Operations Rentals Inventory program by recovering dispersed inventory in CityWalk Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Works with leadership of each park to ensure daily inventory levels are balanced and available for sale. Delivers replacement products to in-park Guests.
- Completes routine audits and counts of equipment/storage locations to mitigate break downs and maintain UO show quality standards cleaning supplies and storage areas when necessary. Routinely inspects all operational equipment in Event Operations and files damage reports when necessary.
- Effectively communicates to the Leadership team on the status of projects. Has a working knowledge of the layout of the resort and is sent to complete projects as an individual. Including deliveries and recoveries to on-property hotels.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED preferred.

1 year preferred. Front of House Guest Service experience required.
