Another Sources client University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) is recruiting a Deputy Director Title IX to join their team in Los Angeles CA (UCLA campus). This is a hybrid role.

The UCLA Office of Civil Rights plays a critical role in fostering a campus environment rooted in equity safety and accountability. The office oversees compliance with federal and state civil rights laws and leads efforts to prevent and respond to discrimination harassment and retaliation across one of the most complex higher education ecosystems in the country.

As Deputy Directoryoullserve as a key partner to the Title IX Director helping lead investigations shape processes and mentor staff. This role offers meaningful leadership exposure and the chance to build deepexpertisein highly nuanced high-impact cases.

Scope & Impact:
- Partner with the Title IX Director to oversee case assessments investigations and resolution processes across the Civil Rights Office
- Review investigative work guide staff and ensure consistency quality and compliance across cases
- Lead or support complex and sensitive investigations involving sexual harassment sexual violence and other discrimination matters
- Oversee informal and alternative resolution processes and ensureequitableoutcomes for all parties
- Direct the offices response to state and federal audits investigations and compliance reviews
- Collaborate with campus partners including HR Academic Personnel and Student Affairs on case management and resolution
- Provide expert consultation on Title IX and civil rights matters helping stakeholders navigate sensitive situations
- Lead and scale training and education programs for faculty staff students and healthcare populations
- Supervise and develop team members contributing to a high-performing mission-driven culture
- Stay current on evolving Title IX regulations case law and best practices applying insights to strengthen programs and processes
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience overseeing and conducting sensitive investigations ideally within higher education or similarly complex environments
- Deep knowledge of Title IX gender discrimination sexual violence and harassment regulations and practices
- Demonstrated experience reviewing investigative reports and exercising sound judgment in complex cases
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and experience working with impacted individuals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to navigatehighly sensitivesituations
- Experience designing or managing administrative processes and case management systems
- Proven ability to lead mentor or supervise staff in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply policy and legal frameworks to complex issues
- Ability to build trust and work effectively with diverse populations across a large decentralized organization
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Juris Doctor (JD) preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
Theanticipatedsalary for this position is$150000$155000annually.
