Job Description

We are recruiting a Senior Manager: CX/UX Design to drive the strategic direction of customer and user experience across the business. This role is responsible for shaping innovative human-centred design solutions that enhance service delivery improve accessibility and influence enterprise-wide digital transformation. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams embed design thinking principles and translate user insights into impactful scalable solutions that support long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide CX/UX strategy ensuring alignment with customer needs behaviours and organisational goals.
  • Drive the design and delivery of complex multi-faceted business process solutions across the full lifecycle.
  • Champion human-centred design principles and embed them across all levels of the organisation.
  • Oversee user research service design and innovation initiatives to enhance customer and employee experiences.
  • Facilitate design sprints co-creation workshops and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain UX/UI design systems standards and frameworks.
  • Provide strategic input into digital transformation service design and policy development.
  • Lead mentor and manage multidisciplinary design and engineering teams.
  • Ensure governance compliance and risk management within the design function.

Requirements:

  • Honours degree (NQF 8) in UX Design HCI Computer Science Public Administration or a related field with 10 years experience including 34 years at management level.
    OR
  • Bachelors degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in a related field with 12 years experience including 34 years at management level.
  • Extensive experience in CX/UX design within financial services public sector digital government or regulated environments.
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven expertise in user research usability testing journey mapping and service design.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma Sketch or Adobe XD.
  • Strong analytical thinking problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts and strategies clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation adaptability and continuous improvement.
