A well-established engineering and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead operations at its electrical manufacturing facility. The site focuses on the assembly of medium voltage (MV) switchgear and protection & control panels including both in-house and OEM-based designs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all production and assembly activities within the facility
- Ensure timely delivery of MV switchgear and control panels in line with project schedules
- Lead and optimise production planning workflow and resource allocation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications
- Manage and develop production teams including technicians and artisans
- Enforce health safety and environmental standards across operations
- Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to support production objectives
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Trade Test (Electrician) advantageous
- 510 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Minimum 35 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong experience with MV switchgear and/or protection & control panels
- Exposure to OEM designs (e.g. Siemens) is highly advantageous

- Strong leadership and team management ability
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Solid technical understanding of MV systems and panel assembly
- Problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- High attention to quality safety and operational excellence
