Link-up-Intake Admin Officer

The Link-Up program supports and assists Aboriginaland Torres Strait Islander people affected by past government removal policiesto trace their genealogy and family history and potentially reunite with theirfamilies.

We provide an environment that enhancesthe healing process for Aboriginal individuals and their families experiencingemotional distress and working towards empowerment collectively andindividually.

At all times staff operate within the AboriginalTerms of Reference and the principals of trauma-informed.

The Role

The position is responsible for providing the firstpoint of contact for clients of the Link-Up service initiating the referralscreening process providing an interim service response and the primarycontact for clients and referrers while clients are awaiting allocation.

Essential Criteria:

Applicants must demonstrate how they meet the selection criteria listedbelow.

III in Business Administration orequivalent experience.

working with Aboriginal and TorresStrait Islander people particularly the Stolen Generations.

ability to work independently and as ateam member.

organisational and time managementskills.

communication skills.

with Microsoft Office and databaseapplications.

a valid drivers licence.

Police Certificate not less than six (6)months old.
