Job Summary
The College of Education seeks Graduate Research Assistants to support faculty-led research. Graduate research assistants are generally assigned to individual or research teams. This position provides hands-on experience in educational research data analysis and scholarly dissemination.
Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews and summarizing findings; assisting with research coordination and project tasks; collaborating with faculty and research teams; and assisting with data collection management and analysis.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$755 for 0.25 FTE appointment; $1510 for 0.5 FTE appointment
Required Qualifications
1. Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in the College of Education and Educational Admin and Foundations program.
3. Experience with research methods or data analysis
4. Familiarity with research or data software (e.g. SPSS R NVivo)
5. Experience with academic writing (APA style preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
1. Strong analytical and research skills with high attention to detail.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
3. Strong organizational skills (e.g. deconstructing complex tasks organizing and prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines).
