Compensation: $24.50 CAD per hour

Do you dream of your work making a difference in the world CAWST is looking for an organized reliable and passionate self-starter to support our Marketing & Communications team in an 8-month internship.
This role is an opportunity for someone at the start of their professional journey who is ready to dive in learn and get things done. You will play a vital role in strengthening our teams execution capacity helping us reach a global audience with life-changing resources and increasing awareness for our cause.
In this role you will:
- Support Operational Coordination: Help manage inputs and tracking within our project management platforms to keep workflows moving efficiently.
Manage Social Media: Own day-to-day publishing scheduling and monitoring across our channels.
Develop Content: Partner with our Content Strategist to support the production of materials for email web and social media.
Ensure Quality: Conduct final checks and proofing across digital outputs to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
Coordinate Events: Provide hands-on support for the planning and execution of organizational events.

Candidates must be available to work from our Calgary office for at least four days per week (Monday to Thursday) with flexibility to work from home on some Fridays (task dependent). Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required for events in Calgary and some Fridays may be required in the office. Our office is conveniently located close to public transportation and any other locations for events in Calgary will be communicated well in advance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Project Coordination & Support
Project Tracking: Update and maintain timelines within our project management platforms ( Planner) to ensure all deliverables stay on schedule.
Status Reporting: Help consolidate weekly updates for leadership and proactively check in with team members for status inputs.
Meeting Logistics: Assist in scheduling project meetings and capturing clear actionable notes for the team.
Marketing & Social Media Execution
Social Media Publishing: Own the day-to-day scheduling and monitoring of social media channels under the guidance of the Content Strategist.
Content Assistance: Help plan and develop social content that aligns with our brand guidelines and content calendar.
Execution Support: Assist in the rollout of marketing initiatives helping to identify and flag potential delays early to keep projects on track.
Reporting: Produce and present a monthly Social Media Performance Report with actionable insights for the team.
Reporting & Quality Assurance
Data Collection: Assist in gathering performance data across email web and social platforms for monthly reports.
QA Checks: Perform detail-oriented reviews of emails website updates and social posts to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
Qualifications :
This position is open to all education levels and areas of study. We value diverse perspectives though a background in communications or marketing is a definite plus.
Tech-savvy and curious: You have a knack for self-directed learning and love diving into new marketing technologies and digital tools.
Creative with Canva: Youre fluent in Canva and ready to bring visual stories to life.
Social media savvy: You bring hands-on experience managing social media platforms and engaging audiences.
Connected and organized: Youre experienced with Office 365; if youve used Slack or Microsoft D365 thats a fantastic bonus!
Multilingual: Fluency in French or Spanish is an asset that will help you shine in our global context (not required).
Mission-driven: You are genuinely passionate about CAWSTs cause and bring energy and enthusiasm to every project.
