Creeler Operator| Monday Friday

This position is Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm.

Position Objective:Tomaintaina constant supply of yarn to the creel.Assistand/or relieve operator as needed and at break times.

EssentialDuties(Considering job knowledge job environment effort manipulative skill judgment safety knowledge and responsibility):

Check lot numbers to ensure that the correct lot is running

Hangandspliceinyarn in creeli.e.spottingdoublingand cutting back the creel.

Remove exhausted tubes fromcreel.

Place tube caps on running packages.

Maintain the yarn leveland cleanliness ofthe creel throughout the shift.

Make preparations for boxes and tubes to be removed fromcreel.

GuideLTO inloadingcasesor boxes.

Remove all tubes of yarn in the creel or work area thatappears to beunusable and follow procedures for disposition

Perform awalk-throughof assigned creel at the beginning of the shiftor when moved to a new creelto checkoverallcondition of creel.

Identifyand report anymaintenance needed at the creel and tag with pink ribbon.

Load yarn intothe creel

Operator tufting machine as needed i.e. Cutpilemultiplethread-ups and/or pair machines.Follow all Operator job procedures while operating machine

Assistand/or relieveoperatorin alldutiesas necessary.

Assistwith backing changes.

Responsible for properlyidentifyingnon-conforminggreigegoods.

Responsible for properlyidentifyingnon-conforming yarn.

Requirements:

Must be able to recognize letters and numbers toidentifyyarn lots.

Mustbe able to distinguish colors.

Must have adequate depthperception.

Mustbe able to read write andhave some basic math skills.
