Job Summary
Burrow Global is seeking to hire an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee the construction of Pump Station project in Dallas TX.
The QC Manager is required to be a graduate engineer graduate architect or a graduate of construction management with a minimum of five years construction quality control experience on construction similar in scope and complexity or a person with a minimum of ten years construction experience of which a minimum of five years experience must be in construction quality control on construction similar to this contract.
Candidates that have worked on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers construction projects will rise to the top of the interview list.
Candidates must be within commuting distance of Dallas Texas to be considered for this position.No per diem is available on this project.
Job Responsibilities
The CQC System Manager is responsible for the projects quality control and has authority over all CQC matters.
Develop submit and maintain the CQC Plan in accordance with USACE specs (often EMand project-specific sections.
Review and approve submittals before sending to designer of record (DOR) and Government for approval.
The CQC System Manager is responsible for ensuring that the construction work complies with all contract requirements and quality standards.
The CQC System Manager must ensure that all phases of control (preparatory initial and follow-up) are carried out to meet quality requirements.
Track submittals and RFIs using RMS/ProCore.
Prepare and submit Daily QC Reports in RMS.
Coordinate and oversee all required third party testing (soil compaction concrete welding etc.)
Identify non-conforming work issue and track deficiencies accordingly and verify corrective actions meet contractual requirements.
Act as the main point of contact with USACE Quality assurance (QA) personnel.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture or Construction Management is required.
- 10 years of relevant work experience on federal projects (USACE/ Airforce/ NAVFAC/GSA)
- Must be able to read and interpret complex drawings/plans/specifications; to include site/civil structural architectural mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Strong organizational interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills.
- Experience with Resident Management System (RMS)
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft (word Excel etc.)
- USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC) certification required.
