Engineering Team Lead

About the role:

Seeking to appoint an experienced LeadICT and IntegrationsEngineerwho will beresponsible for thedevelopmentof engineering specifications engineering reportsdesign and testing of ICT system hardware software will be responsible forthe requirements definition and development of reference designs for newICTsystems to be incorporated into a design will also require development of integration plans for rolling stock and assurance of new systems and operating methodologies.

As theLeadICT and IntegrationsEngineer you willsupport multipleactivities across the delivery lifecycle and perform design and engineering tasks on rolling stock systems. This includes producing safe compliantreliableand cost-effective designs; supporting production maintenance and test & commissioning withtimelyengineering advice and concessions; identification of the root cause of problems across the fleet; managing technical risks and opportunities with internaland externalstakeholders.

Qualifications & experience:

• Degree qualifications Electrical Electronic Mechatronic Systems Engineering Degree or similar recognised by Engineers Australia Mandatory.
• Achieved CPEng status or working towards it.
• Rolling stock or Intelligent Transportation Systems experiencewith5 years experience.
• Prior experience software development as practiced in railwaymilitaryor heavy industrial environments.
• Prior experience with CCTV systemsPassenger Information Systemsand or Shore Based systems.
• Experience withleading a team of engineers forengineering projects.
• Prior experience with real-time control systems voice and digital communications plant control logicand/or software development as practiced intransportationmilitaryor heavy industrial environments.
• Prior experience with Tain Control Management Systems.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Ability to lead a team of engineers effectively and manage delivery timelines of projectswithdocumentation through the systems engineering lifecycle.

• Strong ability to interpret both technical requirements and commercial contracts.

• Highly developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to conduct detailed investigations and provide clear and decisive results and written reports to senior management.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide rapid and effective engineering support.
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience and driving technical meetings with supplierscustomersand internal stakeholders.
• Excellent computer skills with experience in the development and management of ICT systems
• Relevant Australian and International standards (AS ASAMDEN RFC IEEE etc.) experience notably EN50155 EN50128 and similar.
• Knowledgeof various software coding platforms and networkingarchitecture.
