Title of Position: SUMMER MENTOR TO STUDENTS

DISCOVERY CLUB/ACCESS 21 STAND ALONE PROGRAM

Work Year: July 6 2026 - July 30 2026

Monday - Thursday

7:30 am to 12:15 pm - Nettle Middle School OR

8:45 am to 1:15 pm - Haverhill High School

Trainings in June - Dates TBD

Work Location: Nettle Middle School OR Haverhill High School depending on intern site placement

Salary: $1000 stipend

Or Line of Authority: Education Internship Coordinator Site Coordinator

After-School Program and Assistant Program Director

Statement of Duties:

• Mentor HHS Student Education Intern.
• Meet with HHS Student Education Intern outside of after school program hours to support Student Education Intern with program training plan objectives/goals.
• Include opportunities for Student Education Intern to work with individual students small groups and eventually lead a whole class lesson by the end of the program.
• Assist with evaluation and data collection.
• Maintain enrollment and attendance records.
• Responsible for other duties as indicated by directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designees and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Teacher by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Required
• Experience in Discovery Club or Access 21 Preferred
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
