A private family located in McLean Virginia is seeking an experienced and proactive Household Manager to oversee the daily operations of their home. The ideal candidate will be highly organized adaptable and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently while helping maintain a smooth-running and well-organized household.

This role includes a combination of household management family support childcare assistance meal preparation and household logistics. The family is looking for someone dependable resourceful and capable of anticipating needs while maintaining a warm and professional presence in the home.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and overall organization of the household
• Coordinate household maintenance vendors and home services
• Assist with childrens school routines including morning preparation and school pick-up/drop-off
• Organize and manage childrens activities and family scheduling
• Plan meals grocery shop and prepare family meals
• Maintain household inventory and organization
• Schedule appointments and manage household logistics efficiently
• Assist with light household maintenance tasks as needed
• Provide care and attention for the familys Labrador dog
• Adapt to the familys changing schedules and needs including occasional schedule flexibility
• Help maintain a comfortable organized and welcoming home environment

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar Household Manager role within a private home preferred
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable assisting with children and family logistics
• Comfortable with pets
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to changing household needs
• Must have their own reliable vehicle and valid drivers license
