Description
As Finance Manager / Head of Finance you will be responsible for leading and strengthening Shoparizes finance operations governance and reporting. Reporting directly to the CFO you will manage a small but important finance team consisting of an Accounts Payable Specialist and a Financial Analyst (who also supports Accounts Receivable and controlling activities).
You will ensure that the finance function is accurate scalable and business-oriented while maintaining strong financial discipline across the company. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys combining operational excellence with financial insight and team development.

- Own the day-to-day finance function ensuring accurate timely and reliable financial operations
- Oversee monthly quarterly and annual closing processes
- Safeguard the quality of the general ledger balance sheet reconciliations accruals prepayments
and financial controls - Oversee accounts payable accounts receivable cash management and working capital processes
- Ensure compliance with statutory tax audit and regulatory requirements across relevant entities
and markets - Manage relationships with external accountants auditors tax advisors banks and other financial
service providers
Financial Reporting & Control - Prepare and review monthly management reporting and support the CFO with board- and investor-
level reporting - Ensure timely delivery of accurate P&L balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Build and maintain strong financial controls policies and procedures
- Monitor budget adherence cost control and financial performance across the business
- Support the preparation of annual accounts audits and statutory filings
Team Leadership - Lead coach and develop the Accounts Payable Specialist and Financial Analyst
- Set clear priorities workflows and quality standards across the finance team
- Help build a high-performing finance function that can scale with the company
- Foster a culture of accountability continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration
Business Partnership & Process Improvement - Partner with the CFO and department leads to improve financial visibility and decision-making
- Identify opportunities to improve systems automation reporting processes and internal controls
- Support the implementation and optimisation of finance tools workflows and dashboards
- Contribute to process design for scalable international growth and operational excellence
Requirements - 610 years of relevant experience in finance accounting audit or controlling
- At least 24 years of experience in a senior finance role within a fast-paced scale-up e-commerce
tech or digital business - Strong knowledge of accounting reporting cash management and internal controls
- Experience leading or mentoring a small team
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to switch between strategy and execution
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
Nice to Have - Experience in multi-entity or international environments
- Background in scale-ups online platforms marketplace or performance marketing businesses
- Experience with financial systems implementation or process automation
- Exposure to fundraising investor reporting or due diligence processes
