Development of a Deep Learning–Based Detection Model for Barn Environments

Are you excited about applying deep learning in real-world environments During this internship you will contribute to the development of the next generation of autonomous farm robots by creating and evaluating a deep learning based detection model for complex barn environments.

Our robots operate in indoor and outdoor environments that are dynamic cluttered and highly variable from barn to barn. Understanding these environments is a key challenge for autonomous robotics. During this internship you will work with real-world datasets captured in barn environments and gain hands-on experience with the complete machine learning workflow.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing training and evaluating a deep learning based detection model
• Working with real-world datasets captured in barn environments
• Exploring and preprocessing data for machine learning applications
• Analyzing model performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Tackling challenges related to unstructured and highly variable environments
• Collaborating with colleagues working on autonomous robotics and AI solutions

Qualifications :

We are looking for an independent and analytical student who enjoys solving complex technical challenges. You are eager to apply your machine learning knowledge in a practical and innovative environment.

To be considered for this internship you meet the following requirements:

• You are enrolled in a WO program related to Artificial Intelligence Computer Science Robotics Data Science or a similar field
• You have knowledge of deep learning architectures and machine learning techniques
• You are familiar with data processing and model evaluation workflows
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You are able to work independently and take ownership of your tasks
• You have a good command of the English language both written and spoken

Internship Interview Days
