SHE Intern

Purpose of the Role:

To support the SHE department in implementing and maintaining effective health safety and environmental management systems while gaining practical experience in administration and SHE systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with SHE administrative duties
• Capture and update data on SHE systems
• Maintain records registers and compliance documentation
• Assist with compilation and maintenance of Safety Files
• Assist with risk assessments and hazard identification
• Support incident investigations and reporting
• Participate in safety audits inspections and compliance checks
• Coordinate SHE trainings and inductions
• Coordinate and update legal appointments
• Compile SHE statistics reports and dashboards using Excel
• Track corrective actions and update action registers

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in:
• Safety Management
• Occupational Health & Safety
• Environmental Management / Science
• Risk Management
• SAMTRAC qualification (advantageous)
• Basic knowledge of SHE systems and processes
• Strong administrative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and develop in the SHE field
