Job Summary
TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN INTERN IN THE SENIOR SCHOOL YOU WOULD:
- Be 21 years or older.
- Be studying or have recently completed a Bachelor of Education degree (Senior Phase) or PGCE.
- Be in your 3rd 4th or post-graduate year of study in 2026 or have recently graduated.
- Subject preferences include EGD Maths Physical Science Life Science Afrikaans Art and English; however applications for other subjects are also welcome.
- Have achieved an academic average of 65% and above during your degrees (advantageous).
- Have a high level of computer literacy and be willing to learn new systems.
- Be warm engaging resilient honest genuine empathetic and kind.
- Have excellent teamwork communication and collaboration skills.
- Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school.
- Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.
- Be willing to apply for SACE registration and clearances with the Child Protection and Sexual Offenders Registers.
OUR EXPECTATIONS ARE THAT YOU WOULD:
- Commit to a fixed-term contract (1st January 2027 - 31st December 2027) conditional on your performance.
- Immerse yourself fully in the life of our school.
- Learn how to teach while you study and show self-discipline and enthusiasm during your learning journey with us.
- Be excited about learning how to integrate technology into the curriculum using various electronic media in the classroom.
